Play Nice!

Beginning tomorrow morning (Friday) you can hold your drawing of the giveaway at your site.  I'll host a Mr. Linky here for your post in which you announce the winner. 

The original Mr. Linky was closed down today (Thursday).  This was ahead of the original schedule, but the list was getting spammed. 

BIG IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: 
This carnival is held on the honor system.  If you hosted a giveaway, please follow through, and please follow through promptly.  It really pokes a hole in the sense of fun and community created if you drop the ball on this.  Please, restore my faith in humanity.  I've been dealing with spammers all day.

That said, if you win a giveaway and your person doesn't follow through, there is nothing I can do about it. Please do not e-mail me to complain.  I'm sorry it happened to you, and I share your frustration, but it is out of my hands.

Oh, Shannon. I'm sorry this happened. I didn't particpate in this carnival, but I've seen mention of it ALL OVER the Internet. It's been fun to watch from a distance.

Hopefully, you can try again next year. Maybe I'll be in a better position to "play" then. :)

Evil wicked spammers! I've had fun with the bloggy giveaways but there is always a few in the bunch that ruin it for everyone else. I agree about following through. I've "won" 2x before & never received. I would neveer even consider contacting you to complain! Geez.

This is my first bloggy giveaway and it's been a blast to go through and find blogs I've never seen before!
Hopefully people will follow through. That's one reason I offered a prize from my Zazzle store. It'll get shipped straight to the winner instead of sitting in a box by the front door waiting for me to bundle up two munchkins and schlep over to the post office in the snow. Hee hee. i think there should be a special place reserved for spammers and telemarketers...some place very sharp and hot and burny!!!! Haven't had any spam that I can recognize yet, but I promise I won't complain to you if they pop up. Thanks for hosting. This has been such a blast!!!
