Jumping right in with our Lost re-cap (and there are spoilers ahead, so watch out if you haven't seen it yet)...
That picture on the monk's desk: IT WAS THE CREEPY JEWELRY STORE LADY. Remember her? From a few episodes ago? I made Hubs rewind it three times to make sure. And here is the screen shot to prove it. *shudder* That's just weird.
And the girl in the parachute: any guesses on who that might be? I'm betting it's Sayid's girlfriend. Maybe Penny hired her to find the source of the magnetic "blip" she found at the end of last season. The way these characters' lives intersect, would you really be surprised?
And Desmond...oh, Desmond. It turns out our brutha was actually a brutha. What an interesting twist! Once again this show has thrown us a storyline rich in redemption and forgiveness--you can't deny it's the central theme of the show.
The two Sawyer quotes of the night, undoubtedly:
(To Kate) "You need me to make you a mix tape?"
(To Jack and Juliet) "You two arguing over who's your favorite Other?"
Love that boy.
On a related note, to prove just how utterly addicted I am to this show, I've begun going back and watching the first season on DVD. I didn't catch this the first time, but if you re-watch the scene of the airplane crash, there is the unmistakable, growly sound of the Black Smoke Monster in the background. Just thought I'd point that out.
Only four episodes left! I've read there won't be new episodes until after Christmas. Christmas! Bah-humbug!
