A Very Good Reason NOT To Take a Toddler To a PTA Meeting
...Because when all eyes in the room are on you as you're giving your presentation, your little daughter (sitting next to you), might choose that time to unzip your purse and pull out a maxi pad and unwrap it and WAVE IT OVER HER HEAD, and just in case anyone missed it, your friend sitting next to you will laugh loudly enough to make sure they all saw it. And you would be embarrassed. If that happened to you. Which I'm not saying it did to me.
Ahem.

Sometimes I still think of this and giggle. Then I feel bad because it might have embarrassed you. Then I giggle some more.

Yes, our children can definitely embarrass you. One experience that brings to mind is when my son pulled my tampons out from under the sink and used them as towing tubes for his hotwheels in front of my MIL. Embarassing!

Well, at least it was at the PTA where there were probably more mommies there who could empathize with you! (And who could be oh so very thankful that they were able to leave their kids at home!)

Mine has been known to pull out a Tampax and ask, "Why is there a string hanging out of the end of this huge QTip?"
You gotta love 'em! :)
