Works For Me: Cleaning Bathrooms

Wfmwsmall I can't imagine that anyone has time to be scrolling through Works-For-Me Wednesday entries this week, what with all the browsing through the giveaway goodies.  Mr. Linky is going to kick me out!  But neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor freebies shall stop the WFMW train from a-goin', so here it is...

I've discovered an easy shortcut for bathroom cleaning.  I've never had great luck with those bathroom wipes you can buy, pre-wet, because no matter how careful I am, they always seem to dry out on me.  Instead, I keep a paper towel roll and a spray bottle of cleaner under the sink in each bathroom.  This way, when those rare moments of cleaning inspiration hit me, I have everything I need right there--and I can throw the nasty used towels away!

So, do you have a tip you'd like to share?  Leave your clever WFMW tips below, and be sure to check in with the guidelines here first.  Remember to link directly to your WFMW post, not to the front page of your blog.

Remember, next week is the first Wednesday of the month, so that means it's time for another themed edition of WFMW.  The first edition of Backwards Day was so much fun, we'll do it again next week.  Instead of sharing a tip that has worked for you, you'll throw out an issue or question that has stumped you.  Invite your readers to give you their feedback!

Spot cleaning in a few minutes here and a few minutes there is my favorite type of cleaning :) !!

I am so glad backwards day is coming again! So many question, so few answers! :)

I knew it was too good to be true...it said I was #1 after I posted, but of course I'm not LOL. Silly dial-up internet.

Great tip...I had to start doing that too, keeping all my bathroom cleaning supplies in each bathroom, because the "inspiration" rarely hits me, and when it does, I need to be able to act quickly ;)

That's a great idea! I have been using the Mr. Clean wipes lately, and so far they're wonderful. They're super strong, so I can even scrub with them, and they haven't dried out yet.

But paper towels and spray cleaner are, I'm sure, much less expensive!

Keeping supplies in each bath, the kitchen and the laundry works great for me too. I use disinfectant wipes AND baby wipes AND paper towels, depending on the job at hand so that I won't have to run back and forth.

Great idea! I keep a canister of antibacterial wipes in each bathroom for those "inspirational" moments.

Thanks for hosting!

When I remember to clean as I go...it is SO much easier. When I remember...

This is a great tip. Certainly paper towels and a spray bottle are much cheaper than pre-packaged wipes anyway!

I just use baby wipes. They work better than the Clorox paper thin things, and I can rinse them out and they don't rip or tear.

Bah....forgot to put title in the first time I did it...
Keeping the cleanning supplies close by is definitely a good thing.

I am not a fan of shower cleaning. One day while I was at Target I saw "Method Daily Shower Cleaner" I am now officially in love and recommend it to everyone. I don't use a squeegie or anything and my shower is fabulous. Depending on how "dirty" your shower is will depend on how long it takes to "clean it". It is bio degradable and safer than say tilex or something similar. Hubs even uses the spray if he is the last one in the shower now. As for the kids bathroom, well that is up to me to do it too, maybe when they are older I can reward them.

Thanks for hosting! And great bathroom tip! I only have one bathroom, but it has it's own roll of paper towels and cleaner!

I left my first WFMW! Hostess organization.

I'm a first timer, too! I keep paper towels, spray and magic erasers in each bathroom.

I have found that keeping wipes handy also makes it easier to delegate small tasks to the kids.

Looking forward to another backwards day next week!!

Great tip--I do the same thing! The premade wipes don't pick up hair or lint--paper towels and Windex work for me!

That is a very handy idea and I noticed when I used the pre-wet ones you have to use about 10 to get the job done right. A huge waste of money.

That's exactly what I do! Except sometimes I just use the moisture that's already all over everything right after someone's shower. Just basically dry everything off, and it's clean.

I do this too! It's amazing what you can clean while brushing your teeth:)

My first link (#100) got deleted?? I re-sent it.

I do this, too! It has really helped me keep the bathrooms clean!

My first WFMW post! Woo hoo!

I'm pretty excited about next week's... I definitely need help with a lot of things!

I do the exact same thing! I figure a roll of Bounty and spray cleaner are alot cheaper than those wipes!
