The Oven?
Several of you asked where my oven is, from looking at the pictures below. Actually, I just got rid of it. Jerked the whole thing out. I found that to be a really effective way to eliminate the pressure of cooking dinner each night.
I'm kidding, y'all. The oven is safe and sound, overly used and abused and hanging out with his partner the microwave just to the right of the stove top:

The irony of the situation is this...I didn't even miss it!! You can tell how often I use mine. I was much more concerned with the great floor pattern and the rich cabinet color. After all, what is a kitchen really for? An aesthetically pleasing place to store milk and cereal, of course!

Yes! The oven!
It's where you store cookie sheets, pans and things.
I love mine!

You are so thoughtful!
Before I had a dishwasher, the oven was used to hide my dirty dishes when people dropped in :D

I love to cook, ergo I should have wondered about the missing oven.
But new kitchens always dazzle me. I was too busy being distracted.
"Ooooh, look! Shiny new things! How purty!"
Didn't even notice the lack of an oven.

I did wonder. I'm with witchypoo above, I use my oven to store dirty dishes (mostly hand wash pans) EXCEPT I do have a dishwasher!! :)

Glad you're still eating and not just admiring the new counter tops! :)

An oven that's used and abused...the sign of a good mother!

We are in Hong Kong, and most apartments don''t have ovens. Westerners sometimes purchase them as a countertop unit, similar to a toaster oven int he states, but we were thrilled to find a place with a balcony, green views and *shock* an OVEN! we did discover on thanksgiving that it was a convection oven, as our turkey was cooked in an hour and a half, but it was delicious.

Love your new kitchen. We switched out our flourescent lights for can and drop down pin lights and could not be happier. We used to joke that we could do surgery in our kitchen with those flourescents! Enjoy...
