Time For Another Poetry Contest!

Remember the haiku contest last month?  Y'all made that so much fun we're doing it again.  Only this time (luck o' the Irish to you) we're doing limericks.  (Here's how you write one, and this is another good resource).  Write it on any topic that strikes your fancy, (G- or PG-rated, pretty please), and of course, it needs to be your own original work.  Enlist your kids, if you want!

I sat here for 30 minutes trying to write a limerick to show you for example, but guess what?  I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO WRITE A GOOD LIMERICK.  Total writer's block.  Instead, I think I'll just sit back here and eat Doritos rice cakes and watch all your clever contributions roll in.  I'll close comments at 9 pm CST tonight (Friday), and I'll post finalists as soon as I can.  You can vote all weekend, and I'll announce the winner Monday morning.

The winner will receive the Insignia 2 GB video MP3 player.  You can actually download movies and watch them on the go--can you imagine?  I would so be breaking a body part on the treadmill if I tried this, but I'm sure you can handle it.  It's available only at Best Buy (retail value $90, though it's on sale right now for $74.99).
