No Lost Post Tonight...
...because I've just been too busy helping Hubs with taxes this evening.
And by "helping Hubs with taxes" I mean "sitting on the couch next to him with a blank look on my face when he asks where my blogging receipts are and promising to do better next year and trying to distract him from my negligence with some Oreos."
There were numbers involved. Many, many numbers. And they had dollar signs! And (have mercy) decimals! And I just don't feel like my poor little brain could handle the drama of time warps and tropical polar bears and explosive-laden slave ships.
So I'm enjoying the benefits of my DVR tonight, and I'll be watching Lost tomorrow, when I'm recovered from all the math. If I've recovered sufficently, maybe I'll even write a post.
But first?
Oreos.

That's ok. Headless Dad and I went to the tax guy today and the W2's weren't in the file that I made of all of the stuff for the tax guy. New tax guy, we've never met before. Great.
Now, off to find the W2's. Thanks for the reminder!

Does one ever really recover from that kind of math? I mean, seriously, the damage could be permanent. You might need another package of Oreos to numb the pain.

Dude... wait till you see... the answers. I have them (now that I've watched). Not alot of The Answers. But they did answer several burning questions. wait til you see. *S*

I've never been good with numbers. Out on my own I was terrible with money/financial planning. Doing taxes?? I paid someone to do them so they'd be right.
I got tired of paying someone to do my taxes and financial planning - so I just married a CPA. It worked! :)

Totally understand the numbers phobia - I have it too. Too many numbers thrown at me and I loose it. It used to drive my Daddy crazy that I couldn't understand all that multiplying, dividing and those evil word problems...
He loves me anyhow, and did I mention he is a CPA!?
Tax season is long for our family, but I don't worry about our tax return at all, thank goodness.
Now, LOST was great! As someone else said - we got some answers, and a suspicion of mine was also solved...

Unfortunately, the sound at our local station messed up about ten minutes into it!! They ran a blurb at the bottom saying they were working on it. It was just local -- my husband was one state over saw and heard it just fine.
I did figure out some of what was going on. This may be one we buy from iTunes!! I know the post an episode recap on the ABC site, but it's not the same as watching it unfold.

I guess I should be glad I don't have to deal with "blogging receipts," whatever those are! We've already received and spent (or planned how to spend) our refund. Money sure doesn't burn a hole in my pocket.

Oreos and Lost? Sounds like a perfect combo to me!

Ok, I am dumb, as in ignorant, not as in can't talk. "blogging receipts?" explain that one please. :)

I think TurboTax is like a computer game, and you want the numbers in the upper left corner to be green, but if they turn red then there *must* be a mistake, and you get a do-over...Right!? :-)

Lost was much better than last week, which just ticked me off.
I am so grateful that my husband usually handles the taxes. Not that I couldn't handle it, but really? Who wants to?
Chocolate is a much better choice.

AMEN! WE must have the same kind of number crunching professional/accountant type husbands. And I feel your pain in trying to remember all those details from months ago. Karen's response rocks!

I am glad I found your blog. You make me laugh.. thanks. I have tax-phobia. Currently, I cannot find TaxCut (free copy in the mail) to load on the computer so hubby can do taxes. Aaaahh!

Mine is up. I'll put on Mr Linky when you put it up, but for the LOST desperate:

And I've got plenty of questions this week to ponder.

oh you HAVE to post about LOST...you have to :)

I think those Oreos are tax deductible. I know the DVR is a write-off since you blog about Lost, right? Right? My hubby is a CPA and I'm highly familiar with that blank stare.

To take your mind off the IRS, taxes and all that yucky stuff, I posted some pictures from the Casting Crowns concert here in our area. I know how much you love them and thought you could use a pick-me-up! What a blessing! We had a great time! Hope you dream of the likes of Sawyer and not of 1099s and your password to TurboTax!

Get this - in college, I took lots of math. Algebra, trigonometry, 4 quarters of calculus. I even understood most of it. But put $ in front of those numbers, and suddenly I find the whole thing very painful. What's up with that? I just make my husband deal with the $, while I sit there with that same blank look, and wish he could be distracted by oreos.
Hey, he's going to be doing taxes on Saturday. Maybe I'll make his favorite cookies while he's doing it! Thanks for the great idea!
