Melanie came over this evening to watch Lost with me, because there are some things a girl just doesn't do alone. Watching the season finale of the best show EVER is one of them.
And just look what she brought with her:

It's Dharma boxed wine! We didn't drink any, though. This show confuses me enough without wine.
*SPOILERS AHEAD. You west coasters read at your own risk.*
So what did you think, my Lostie friends? I thought it was a pretty spectaclar episode, myself. Of course they interjected more questions, but they did an excellent job wrapping up the timeline of how the Oceanic 6 got back to civilization.
The message boards are buzzing tonight with questions about Claire. Remember when Desmond told Charlie that he (Charlie) had to die, so Claire could get on the helicopter? But Claire didn't get on the helicopter. She is, by most everyone's best guess, dead. What happened?
Here was my favorite dialogue of the night:
John Locke: Was he talking about what I think he was talking about?
Ben: If you mean time-traveling bunnies, then yes.
The whole island-moving thing is blowing my mind just a little. (Really, must we do science?) When Ben talked about the Cazimir Effect, I googled it quickly to find this explanation. I saw the phrase "kernel of atom" and immediately knew I was out of my league. You scientific sorts come back and explain it to me, okay?
One interesting plot point was Miles' strange discussion with Charlotte about coming back to the island. She said something about looking for her birthplace. Could it be the island? But babies can't be born on the island, right?
Speaking of babies, something has been bugging me--who is feeding Aaron? No other characters are making breast milk, and we haven't really seen any other source of milk, have we? It's minor, and probably just an oversight by producers. But still. Moms think about these things.
There were some sweet love stories tonight. Desmond and Penny's reunion was totally worth the wait, and don't you wish you knew what Sawyer had whispered to Kate before he jumped? Probably he was asking her for whatever favor it was she repaid a couple of episodes ago. Taking care of his daughter, maybe?
This isn't the best Lost post, but I'm so eager to hear what you all have to say I'm tossing it up anyway. Losties, if you're writing about Lost at your blog, please leave your link below.
