**SPOILER ALERT! Don't read this if you don't want to know what happens.**
I spent a little time browsing on the Lost message boards tonight, and several people were talking about how informative and revealing tonight's episode was.
Really? Then I think I might be caught in a time warp. Because I don't feel especially informed. (Although we did receive confirmation that Richard Alpert is "very old" but still looks like this, and I'm thinking that I really have to get my hands on his moisturizer.)
We also learned that The Others speak Latin.
Oh. That clears things up. When I'm looking for a simple language with which to unravel complicated mysteries, I know I always lean toward Latin.
Anyway.
There were a couple of really sweet scenes, including Daniel Farraday's profession of love for Charlotte, which clearly isn't working out well for him, seeing as how all the time travel makes her feel poorly, and perhaps a little dead. And I loved knowing that Desmond named his son Charlie, but I felt a little antsy at the thought of a two year old living on a boat.
I wondered at the signficant of the atomic bomb storyline, did you? Is that the reason that Desmond's future concrete bunker is so reinforced (didn't Sayid comment on how it seemed like a nuclear facility?)? And would the radioactive leakage be the reason all the future women have the fertility issues on the island?
Last thing: you have to see this hilarious YouTube video Kelly shared (and by the way, these guys are hilarious; you can see more Rhett and Link videos here):
That's all I have for tonight, but I'd love to hear if you have more brilliant analysis. If you are blogging Lost over at your place, leave your links in the comment section below.
