BlogHer CEO Lisa Stone is going to conduct a live podcast interview with Carly Fiorina on Friday. Ms. Fiorina is the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, and now she's stumping for John McCain's campaign. BlogHer is actively soliciting questions to ask the McCain camp in the interview. Head over there and be heard!
I hope she is just helping Senator McCain with his campaign and does not have any chance of being part of his administration.
Ms. Fiorina's time as CEO of HP was a fiasco! It always surprises me to see that touted as one of her major accomplishments. Yes, she was the first CEO of a Fortune 20 company BUT she almost destroyed it - along with Compaq!
During the last few years that Ms. Fiorina was CEO of HP if an employee was lucky enough to keep their job they had to settle for the same pay and didn't see a single bonus because the company was doing so badly they had salary freezes in effect. The Compaq merger was a mess and caused both sides of the company to leak valuable talent. Then when she gets fired for doing such a bad job Ms. Fiorina gets a $21 million severance.
That kind of failure should not be portrayed as a successful woman. The only success I can see is her ability to negotiate a sweet golden parachute when getting hired.

You know that people tend to forget that she is responsible for the Merger of HP and Compaq. Without that merger, HP would be no where today. The company is still using her game plan and Strategic long tern goals.

Amen to commenter number one. Those of us who sat at HP year after year with no pay raise and then saw Carly leave with her 21 mil, are singing a new song now...
Happy Days are Here Again.
Almost the instant she left, the atmosphere changed at HP.
Hope she runs McCain's campaign better.
