Melanie and I usually go to lunch about once a week. We always look for some place with organic vegetables and wheat grass drinks, because we really need rejuvenating from all the yoga we do throughout the morning.
*cough, cough*
Um, no. We usually go here. Because friends don't let friends eat cheesecake chimichangas (alone).
But this week we skipped our Bueno lunch and used the time instead to rehearse this little number for you.
(Cheesy. I know. But somewhere in the blogger by-laws it says that you have to publish an Elf Yourself Dance at Christmas, and if you don't, Santa will come down your chimney and break your laptop. So there you go; I'm just playing by the rules.)
LOL!!! I think you two have missed your true calling.

That is hilarious!

I didn't do one of me this year, but I did do it on behalf of my husband and four other teachers at his school. I then sent the link out to, um, several people.
I thought I was so funny. Oh, honestly, I still do. *grin*

Now that's entertainment! You're so funny!
Posted by: Kim@Foreverwherever | Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 11:19 PM
I took the kids to Jamba Juice (hello, SPECIAL TREAT) and they asked, "Mom...what's that grassy stuff there behind the counter?" And I mumbled something about "grass" and "doesn't it look nice" and then "but surely it's nothing more than decor."
AND THEN I SAW THEM PUT A CHUNK OF GRASS IN A DRINK! GRASS! IN A DRINK!
I stand corrected, boys.

Can I just say... YUMMMMMM to Taco Bueno?! Pretty sure we don't have that in Ohio--I might have to come visit, lol. And I love the Elf Yourself Dance, too. ;-)

I elfed my whole family about a week ago. Here is the link to that if you have time.

It's just plain funny. I don't care who you are lol.
Love your blog.
Hugs.

Shake it - don't break it, baby! I wish I had moves like you!

Elfin magic - and I thought it was only Keebler Cookies! Ho Ho Ho and love that health food - for me and mine - Mexican food is soul food!

I didn't elf my family but my aunt DID. She used pictures of Honey, my mom, me and 2 of Princess and emailed the link to us. I'm wondering if she already suspects that I am pregnant because she used one recent pic of Princess and one of her as a baby. I can't wait to see her reaction when I make the big announcement next week!

Oh, it IS that time of year. I'm going to do one of me & Arianne. You know we're coming to visit you two someday. And you better take us to that Taco Bueno.

Have you tried the chocolate cheesecake bites at Sonic? To die for!
I've somehow become the connoisseur of fast food cheese cake desserts.

How fun!

Whew! I didn't know the rules. Glad I got ours posted before the deadline. Of course, we chose a more Texan theme and the dancers/elves are my two youngest Pirates and The Princess. Oh, so adorable!
By the way, judging by the elf video, I'd say all those long hours yoga-ing (new word) seem to be winning out over the cheesecake chimichangas!

Mexican food with girlfriends. . . the best :)
Posted by: Brenda | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 10:49 AM
Ummm, do you by chance have some of that cheesecake, because I could use some energy and "moves" that you used! That was too funny! Youngest and I had a laugh during a break from school work this morning. Thanks for a bit of cheer this morning!

I knew there was a rule. So, yeah, I did mine awhile back. I've got to protect the computer, right?
Posted by: patois | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 11:15 AM
Does that rule apply to Facebook? Because that's where I posted mine. Although maybe I should post mine while I'm on my bloggy break over Christmas - or do you think it will scare away my readers?!
Posted by: Andrea@Under Grace & Over Coffee | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 01:17 PM
My laptop is already broken. Therefore I will not elf myself, and I will be secretly glad (though outwardly devastated) when Santa breaks my laptop. I will sue and get a new laptop :)
It's a plan!
Posted by: Sarah | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 03:09 PM
HaHa! I almost resisted the urge to elf myself (and my family), but I was feeling left out! Glad to know I did, bc I wouldn't want Santa to break my laptop... I just got it!!!
Merry Christmas. :)
Posted by: jill jacobs | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 03:36 PM
Ok, so I had to be a copycat and go do it too! I love it!
Posted by: PaulaW | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 06:51 PM
Oh great, now I have to move. After looking over the Taco Bueno site, there is no way I can continue living in an area that does not have one of these resturants.
I am so drooling for some mexican food.
Take Care,
Trixie

I'm so glad I don't have a chimney, because my laptop is brand new! I'm not ABOUT to post an ElfYourself!
Posted by: Ronnica | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 08:55 PM
Yummo!
Posted by: Mary | Friday, December 19, 2008 at 08:57 PM
LOL...Elf Yourself is becoming quite the bizarre (yet funny) bloggy Christmas tradition.
Also, just letting ya know, I've got a baby gender update on my blog.
Posted by: Shannon | Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:48 AM
I love to elf my girls,,,I haven't done it yet this year...I must go do it soon! It is so fun.
Posted by: Terra | Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 09:02 PM
I had a Chimichanga Cheesecake at a place called the Salty Senorita in Arizona. OH. MY. GOD. Those insanely delicious bits of crispy goodness should be outlawed! Or served daily at the french cafe in town... I'm glad it's neither.
Posted by: SugarJones | Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 10:36 PM
I did myself and my favorite aunt. Then I took my life into my own hands and sent her the link . . . thankfully she has a great sense of humor and lots and lots of love for me (her only redheaded niece!!!!). I choose disco b/c I figured she already knew all the moves since she was around and dancing in that era. um, yeah, did I mention she loves me?!?!?!?
