I'd never thought about cooking a whole chicken in the crock pot (the thought of the chicken getting to and staying at room temp any longer than necessary gives me fits), but I might be open to it now!

You don't have to worry about chicken innards these days...most of the time they have it all tied up in a little bag. You just pull it out with some tongs and you're all set! Thanks for the great links!
